MEAN RESTING OFFSET%
MAX OFFSET%
SAMPLES
An offset is a clue. Compare it in your game.

This measures resting API output, not the physical stick position. Firmware and game deadzones can mask drift. More than 5% prompts a recheck here; this is a screening threshold, not a manufacturer failure standard.

A LITTLE GUIDANCE

How to use this test

  1. Connect the controller and let the left stick return to center.
  2. Do not touch the stick during the 5-second sample.
  3. Recenter and repeat before comparing with in-game behavior.
What does an 8% offset actually mean?

It is the distance of reported X/Y input from zero relative to a unit axis. It is not a physical angle or a universal failure threshold. Firmware and game deadzones affect the observed output.
