What do you see?

These are static illustrations, not measurements of your display. Try different Overdrive settings in your monitor menu and compare.

Clean edge
Dark trailing shadow
Bright overshoot halo
Recognize a pattern. Then adjust one setting.

Dark trails may suggest slow pixel transitions; bright halos may indicate excessive Overdrive. Compare at the same speed. This test cannot measure GtG response time in milliseconds.

A LITTLE GUIDANCE

How to use this test

  1. Start motion and follow a block with your eyes.
  2. Compare the edge with the static examples.
  3. Change Overdrive on your monitor, then compare at the same speed.
What is the difference between a trail and a bright halo?

A dark trail can suggest slow transitions. Bright halos can be overshoot from aggressive Overdrive. This is a visual comparison, not a GtG millisecond measurement.
